Doug Reed, P.E. is a project manager and professional engineer licensed in Wisconsin and Iowa. He has completed numerous FRP projects throughout the U.S. and internationally. He is currently an expert witness in an ongoing lawsuit regarding FRP. Doug has provided engineering services for almost every building sector including commercial, retail, senior living, medical office, residential, restoration of existing historic buildings and unique foundation designs. Outside of work, he is a proud foster parent of three wonderful girls-ages three, two, and one and is moving towards adopting them. He also loves movies and traveling.

Learn about FRP at the AEI Conference

The AEI conference opened yesterday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, featuring the theme “The Birth and Life of the Integrated Building”. Look for the presentation on the benefits of FRP (GFRP Design Using Structural Shapes) and learn about such structures as the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas, the dock to Liberty Island and the Hoover Dam. The presentation will be Thursday, March 26 between 10:30am and 12:00pm featuring Doug Reed, P.E. of J3 Engineering Group and Bhyrav Mutnari of Bedford Reinforced Plastics.
