Meijer stores are expanding throughout the Midwest and J3 Engineering Group’s experience in engineering this big box retailer has been a valuable asset to their construction. Precast engineering and drafting services were requested on Meijer stores in Oak Creek and Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Terre Haute, Indiana.
J3’s design team catered engineering to the unique requirements needed for each store location. J3 provided engineering, erection drawings, piece tickets, and a bracing plan for erecting panels at the Indiana location. For both Wisconsin stores, J3 provided engineering and piece tickets. In addition, each location had a gas station that was also fabricated out of precast. Some standout features included openings for large faux windows and a truck wall so that shipping interactions would not be visible to customers.
Meijer is a retail store based in Grand Rapids Michigan with locations in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin. It provides a one-stop shopping experience with a grocery department, pharmacy, electronics, apparel, and a garden center.
