We are happy to welcome two new team members to join the J3 family – Junshan Liu and Matthew Walton.
Junshan (John) Liu is joining us as a senior project engineer in our Northbrook office. He has numerous degrees including a PhD in Geotechnical and Structural Engineering from Marquette University, two Master’s degrees in computer science, structural engineering and applied mechanics, and a bachelor’s degree in civil structural engineering. In addition, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan State.
Prior to joining J3, John has worked as a senior structural engineer, focusing on design and analysis of steel and reinforced concrete. In addition, he is skilled in structural software development using a variety of programming languages and engineering software.
Matthew, based in our Mequon office, will take the role of Business Development Manager. He has a bachelor of science in Mathematics from Pfeiffer University North Carolina with a minor in Computer Information Systems and Fine Arts.
He is a LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council and has over 20 years of experience in the building industry. Prior to J3, Matt worked for nationwide contractors and fabricators with a primary focus on commercial millwork, hospitals, performance theaters, casinos, and government buildings. His proudest work-related accomplishment has been a seven-building Veterans Affairs (VA) complex in Colorado to help many deserving veterans. His younger brother is a wounded veteran that served in Afghanistan and Matt is proud of his contribution towards serving those who have risked so much to protect our nation.
